Jóvenes Yaku was a two day workshop (June 4th and 5th, 2022) in collaboration with the Institución Educativa José Carlos Mariátegui, the local school in the community of San Pedro de Casta. The first day we spent in the Marcahuasi with the whole school learning about the implemented systems of water sowing and harvesting. The second day took place in the classroom with a smaller group of students where we developed activities to critically examine the relationship between water sowing and harvesting and tourism, the main source of income for the community. This workshop was the winning project of the Fondo Voces por el Agua.
