Solo for Theremin (and Voices in Your Head)

Transparent score made of plexiglas is performed by a theremin player in front of a mirror. Behind the mirror, a ghostly one makes subtle sounds, playing the voices in their head. The performance ends with the use of the score as a musical instrument, shattering the framework of the performance and restituting the egalitarian power structure expected from a duo. A duo that is a solo, the work asks to perform an experimental psychoanalysis, in which the role of improvised story-telling takes primacy over language, releasing in it yet another potential material dynamism.
